CES 2018 brings us numerous technologic news from the world of drones. After DJI Tello comes the Autel Evo which could mean a serious competition for the DJI Mavic Pro. Specifications look promising on paper, but that, of course, doesn’t mean everything and only reviews will show whether DJI should be worried or not.
AUTEL EVO – 4K camera, 30 minute flight time and a lot of sensors
Autel Evo is a compact drone with folding arms, which makes it even smaller. It’s equipped with a 4K camera attached to a 3-axis gimbal. The maximum resolution of the camera is 4K/60 fps, the FOV is 94° and the lens has f/2.8 aperture.
The presence of GPS as well as features like Follow Me, Waypoints or Orbit mode is a matter of course. The images captured by the drone can be viewed on a 3.3 inch OLED screen built into the controller within the range of 7 kilometers.
Autel Evo has also various obstacle avoidance sensors at its disposal. These are placed both on the front and back of the drone. Flight time is 30 minutes.
Neither the price, nor the availability are known yet, but it’s rumoured that it should cost around 999$ and that it should be available sometime during this year. Stay tuned for more information
