Probably the most known action cameras’ manufacturer, the GoPro company, introduced a twosome of action cameras yesterday. They’re called GoPro Hero 5 Black and GoPro Hero 5 Session.

The greatest changes concern GoPro Hero 5 Black. This camera is waterproof within 10 meters without a case and because of its rubberized body, it should withstand a regular fall. This is the first time GoPro has equipped their cameras with a GPS chip and stabilization. Therefore, videos will contain information about speed, altitude and location.

Hero 5 is now capable of recording videos in the 4K resolution at 30 fps, in FullHD/120 fps and in HD/240 fps. The resolution of photos is 12 Mpx maximum and the saving format is RAW.

The controlling of the camera is completely different. There’s only one button available and most of the operations are proceeded by a two-inch touchscreen, eventually with voice commands too. Voice commands are available in seven languages. The accumulator has the capacity of 1200 mAh.

Hero 5 Session is basically the same as the previous generation, which we tested – the review can be found here. The greatest change is the support of 4K at 30 fps (FullHD/90 fps, HD/120 fps), image stabilization and voice control. Waterproofness without a case is assured within the depth of 10 meters. The battery’s capacity is 1000 mAh.

Both cameras have USB-C and microHDMI. The price for Hero 5 Black is set to $399 and Hero 5 Session to $299.
